Classic Pesto Sauce

The classic sauce with basil, Parmesan, garlic, and pine nuts.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves packed
  • 2 to 3 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts lightly toasted
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Put the basil, garlic, Parmesan, and pine nuts in a food processor. Pulse a couple of times to blend, and start to process while streaming in the olive oil. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
