Classic Pesto Sauce
The classic sauce with basil, Parmesan, garlic, and pine nuts.
Pesto
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves packed
- 2 to 3 garlic cloves chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup pine nuts lightly toasted
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Put the basil, garlic, Parmesan, and pine nuts in a food processor. Pulse a couple of times to blend, and start to process while streaming in the olive oil. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
